Hi John,
Sometimes when working with filters in the EQ window, the filters values can obscore the effect of the filter on the predicted graph when one is busy dragging the filters on screen, see below. I would be great if there could be an option to disabled these values while dragging or toggle...
Hi John, Just curious to know if Pat's method is any didifferent to the sub to mains alignment process of using the Impulse alignment option within the Alignment tool
Hi John,
When time aligning audio channels against a subwoofer channel, either via IR or phase option, using the Alignment Tool, one often has to retype the delay time because it resets to zero when choosing another measurement.
Please consider adding an option to freeze/lock the chosen time...
Hi John,
Just a thought regarding the "Remove time delay" feature of the alignment tool. There are other scenarios like when measurements are taken in the car or for measurements that have been FIR processed, where relying on an IR start for removing the delay can be unreliable. I think it...
Hi John,
I would be great to be able to move the position of the pop-up window that comes up when right clicking a measurement either in the All SPL or overlay SPL tabs. I find that it sometimes gets in way when trying see to how measurements align in the lower frequencies while adjusting...
Hi John,
I often find that I run out of characters when using more descriptive wording to name measurements in the window that pops up when right clicking on the left graph pane within the All SPL tab. Not sure what the current character limit is but can you please consider increasing it? Thanks.
Hi John,
Can we please have an option to save a single "highlighted or selected" measurement within the right click pop-up menu of the All SPL tab? Thanks.
When chosing a HP or LP filter in the EQ filters. Is there a way of determining the filter type i.e Butterworth, L-R or Bessel and is there a way to increase/decrease filter order without using to filter Qs? I think the filter selection options under the Target Settings are more intuitive.
Perhaps I am unclear about when to use the type as a tarhet using the Target Setting versus using the EQ filters to shape the speaker response. Is there a way to configure the filter order and type from the EQ filter menu? I only see HP, HP1 and so on.
Using that option produces a flat line. I am trying to use EQ more as a crossover simulator "without equalising/matching the speaker response against the target curve using PK filters for an example" to better understand its behavior.
No, I just used the Target Settings to simulate a filter I want to apply to the speaker response, not necessarily to equalise the speaker's response or generate measurement from filters which in this use case, would be flat. It is the generate measurement from target shape that I used but as you...
Hmm, just realised that when I use the "generate minimum phase" option for the electric filter under the SPL & Phase and use the same arithmetic function, I get the correct phase response. It would still be prefereable in EQ tab, to generate filters with phase response to avoid the extra step.
