    New Audiolense releases

I know <200KHz is okay but I proposed sampling rate was 352.8KHz (which is Merging devices' native sampling rate)...

I tried but don’t know why the recent version of ALXO not allowing me to add such frequencies… I’m staying with version 6.21 just because of that.

    New Audiolense releases

Hi Dr Bernt, Recent release of ALXO seems preventing users using 192KHz or higher sampling rate for log sweep. In some cases using audio interface’s native sampling rate (for example, Merging Tech’s 352.8KHz) can significantly reduce pre-ringing when doing log sweep and also make FIR filter’s...

Replaced my UMIK-2 mic with an Earthworks M23R... I'm confused

Like I mentioned the best way is to find another 48v-powered mic or another mic pre-amp / audio interface to verify your result. If not remember wrong the RME interface needs TotalMix to control everything so you have to verify all EQ for mic is flat and also no pre-processing.

Replaced my UMIK-2 mic with an Earthworks M23R... I'm confused

The USB mic gain / sensitivity vs 48v-powered mic pre's gain are not the same so you can't compare it this way... find another 48v-powered measurement mic and put it together and see.

Speaker setup for Dolby Atmos 9.1.6 medium-size listening room with 29 speakers + 3 woofers

Dear all, In the near future I'll probably have a case for a medium-size Dolby Atmos listening room. Screenshot is the speaker layout for arrayed Dolby Atmos 9.1.6 (Ls, Rs, Lrs and Rrs are using 3 speakers as one channel, for example). I plan to use ALXO to generate the best FIR filter for it...

Error During Measurement Using exaSound s88 DAC

You can’t use two ASIOs at once. You can ether use one ASIO + one WDM or use ASIO4ALL for two different devices.

Sound card & microphone fixes (Moderated thread)

Update: successfully done the 5 second long, 13 channels log sweep in DXD resolution on my AMD 7950x computer running Win 11. Longer sweep would still get broken sound but DXD res for 5s is long enough. Such res of FIR can proceed discrete DXD contents natively. Thank you so much Dr Bernt!

Sound card & microphone fixes (Moderated thread)

Curious what possible thing would cause the bottleneck of the audio streams except driver? I use Merging's MAD driver playback 12 or 13ch DXD / DSD256 contents and it's quite stable and rock solid...
