I have 3 subs, 2 KEF KC92 and 1 SVS SB-2000Pro, in a music-only system. They are equalized independently and integrated with the main speakers by DL-ART.

Flare Audio claims the shape of our ears "distorts sound by up to 20%, causing our brain to filter this distortion and resulting in a loss of detail between 2kHz and 8kHz." The shape of our external ear (pinna) also contributes to sound localization. I don't think we want to compromise that.

You do not state which exaSound DAC you have but at least some of them permit per channel level adjustments.

With the Pre90, you can use all the outputs simultaneously. So, you can use it if you have reasonable level/etc. controls on the sub(s).

Classical from the early Renaissance to now. Plus almost anything else (including rap) on rare and brief occasion.

I have not seen an acceptable solution for multichannel yet.

Wireless is not yet mature. We went for in-wall hardwire.
