    REW V5.31.3 Errata

Yes. That's what I would have expected. But I was working right before I did the install and working after I reselected it. Just an FYI.

    REW V5.31.3 Errata

Was Running 5.31.2. Shutdown. Reopened. Got notification for 5.31.3. Downloaded 5.31.3. Installed. Opened some measurements. Went to measure. Found install had reset Preferences> Soundcard> Output Device and Input Device to Default. Had to change back to my sound interfacce (DVS on Mac...

REW 5.31.1 Odd Problem with Filters with Negative Gain

Ok. Sorry I didn't check the alternative Q type. MTRX Studio EQ is using RBJ Q filters. REW and MTRX Studio predicted filter curves look the same when this is selected in REW.

REW 5.31.1 Odd Problem with Filters with Negative Gain

OK - Symmetric EQ fixed what I saw above. Loaded the new EQ on MTRX Studio and it measures closely with REW predicted result and sounding good. I still see some descripancies between REW's Filter measurement and MTRX Studio's EQ sum display. Shapes are pretty similar, but some of MTRX Sudio...

REW 5.31.1 Odd Problem with Filters with Negative Gain

Hi, So I was generating EQ for a subwoofer and I've exported the fitler text and loaded on a MTRX Studio. I also created a filter measurement from the filters. I'm finding that the MTRX Studio's drawing of it's EQ with the loaded filter settings do not match the REW filter measurement shape or...

REW 5.31.1 EQ Settings for Equalizer Freq Steps not being followed.

So FWIW, retrying again on the Sub, the "Match the target" had integer frequencies. The "Manual Optimization Control - Freq/Gain/Q" did produce franctional Hz.

Thanks John. I'm sorry this got a bit muddled. Let me know if you need anything more from me for what was reporting. Sounds like you may have covered it all.

REW 5.31.1 EQ Settings for Equalizer Freq Steps not being followed.

Ok - wrong again. On the "Filter Window", the frequencies display as integer vaiues. When you store them, sometime some of them are not integers. I did find that the MTRX Studio has a minimum frequency of 20 Hz and had to go update all the Configurable PEQ settings and that also was a bit prone...

REW 5.31.1 EQ Settings for Equalizer Freq Steps not being followed.

Hi - I think something's odd - probabbly my fault. I had originally stored the filters in the wrong directory. Then I moved them. Looking at it from scratch after reloading the file, the filters look OK now (not any with fractional Hz). Also can generate a measurement from filter. You can...

I deleted most of the "EQ"'ed measurements and it uploaded.

Ok - problem attaching mdat. Uploads to 100% and then sorta hangs. When save, it says stlll uploading. Will try again and leave longer.

REW 5.31.1 EQ Settings for Equalizer Freq Steps not being followed.

Hi, REW 5.31.1 on Macos Ventura. EQ Settings Bug: ----------------------- EQ Page EQ: Generic / Configurable PEQ. Configure Equalizer: Frequency Range: 10 - 20,000 step 1.0 Hz. The EQ is spitting out filters that have fractional Hz like 34.39 Hz. Attached mdat and filter file for S21 Spkr 6.80...

REW EQ Optimization moves predicted result further off target curve

The picture worth a thousand words! Will be interested to see what happens on my satellites as well. Excellent!!

REW EQ Optimization moves predicted result further off target curve

Thanks John. Your responsiveness is world class. So does the fix end up matching the target curve more closely than it does now? Or does it just not look like it is better before the optimization pass? - I took your response as "The Q's were not within limits, so the optimization fixed that...

REW EQ Optimization moves predicted result further off target curve

Files as requested. The predicted EQ result is above the flatness target from about 89 and 160 Hz range Seems to be manually correctable with just lower filter gains.
