That would definitely narrow it up, but you also might consider leaving an opening of about 2 feet that you can test to see if it helps with room modes. If it doesn't, you could close it off and finish it. If it does, you could cover it with GOM material.

Good point... the cabling could be costly. HDMI fiber optic is still considerably higher than regular HDMI, but at least it has come down some.

I've yet to see any projection image look as crisp and bright as my TV... especially with lights on. I'm spoiled.

If they'll ever make acoustically transparent LED TVs... lol. Of course... they would be fine for movies, but I don't think they would work for the best depth acuity with music.

I think it would only be good for low listening levels or driving speakers with higher sensitivity. It would work fine as a headphone amp and probably do well with the harder-to-drive headphones compared to their DX-3 dedicated headphone amp, but it is still on the pricey side. If I were...
