Lots of great questions. They're saying the 192Gbps Type B cable has a physical connection form factor that's similar to HDMI, which leads me to wonder how thick and heavy the cable will need to be.
Also, from what I'm told, just the small difference between HDMI at 40Gbps and 48Gbps makes a...
Right now the maximum passive cable length under the 2.1 spec is 5m... but when you get to that length, the cable is bulky. Beyond the potential issues for what we might see in 2.2 cables (bulk and caps on cable length), I think you're correct to wonder what kind of a cable we're looking at for...
They must have access to more content.
I had to go back dig up the editorial... it was 2019. I wrote it on my flight home from CES. Not sure if it all still holds up, but I'm certainly glad the industry pumped the breaks a bit and decided to continue pushing mainstream tech into 4K TVs...
@MusicManLen These new JVC's are so good out of the box. As long as you have it in the right picture mode, you can make small tweaks and get most of the way there. I totally agree with you 100%!
In many ways, I agree 100%. Not sure I'd go as far as snake oil... maybe more akin to vaporware!
We're lucky that the industry slowed things down and didn't abandon 4K. A few years ago (2019), I left CES frustrated at the 8K glitz and glamour. And I had the same exact feeling you're hitting...
You'd have to imagine that it will carry a lot of the same issues. We're talking about broad platform deployment with an insane amount of variables. Just the security protocols are difficult to navigate, let alone the system checks (handshake) that need to be performed.

Hmm. While Mike is spot on, I suspect you’re experiencing an HDMI compatibility issue with the Kuro. That Kuro has a 1.4 port, so technically speaking there shouldn’t be an issue - but we’re talking about a device that hasn’t been updated in 10+ years!
What the cause would be -,
I have no...
Yeah… something’s not right. I didn’t have any issues like that when I reviewed the 805.
I like Mike’s suggestion… also, make sure your forward is up to date on all of your devices.
Interesting idea. because you have a 23x23 room... that's a large space, and a blank canvas!
Sonnie, if you were to partition a room like that, how would you attack the wall from a materials perspective?
