Sub Distance Tweak question

This is more of a reminder for my idiot brain because I think I'm confusing myself, but when you use the Alignment Tool to do the Sub Distance Tweak, am I remembering it correctly with the assumption that when the slider moves into the negative that you add distance to the sub in the AVR (and vice versa)? Or is it just as it is: negative on the slider = subtract distance from sub in AVR? Sorry for the dumb question, I just don't want to do the wrong thing, and all of my searches haven't answered that question.

Just remeasure to confirm the timing alignment after any change is made to assure it was done correctly.

And of course - I was making sure before I made any changes. I always verify things afterwards
