Hi,
REW 5.31.1 on Macos Ventura.

EQ Settings Bug:
-----------------------
EQ Page
EQ: Generic / Configurable PEQ.
Configure Equalizer: Frequency Range: 10 - 20,000 step 1.0 Hz.

The EQ is spitting out filters that have fractional Hz like 34.39 Hz. Attached mdat and filter file for S21 Spkr 6.80 ms measurement.

Annoying Message:
------------------------------
MTRX Studio has 16 filters per channel
- for Subs - it uses two for the LF cuttof so you have 14 for general EQ.
- for Sats - it uses 4 for the crossover filter so you have 12 for general EQ.
Keep getting message about changing the EQ filters from 12 to 14 or 14 to 12 filters.

Suggestion:
Supress this message if the EQ window is ot closed.
Perhaps give a way to turn off the message in View.

Crash when Generate Filter Measurement (Repeatable)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I haven't seen this problem in the past, but today when I tried to generate a measurement from filters, it is crashing REW - let it send the dumps.
The measurement I was doing this on in the attached .mdat is S21 Spkr 6.80 ms

Thanks

Ok - problem attaching mdat. Uploads to 100% and then sorta hangs. When save, it says stlll uploading. Will try again and leave longer.

I deleted most of the "EQ"'ed measurements and it uploaded.

Hi - I think something's odd - probabbly my fault. I had originally stored the filters in the wrong directory. Then I moved them.

Looking at it from scratch after reloading the file, the filters look OK now (not any with fractional Hz). Also can generate a measurement from filter.
You can take the comment about the message for what it's worth, but ignore the rest.

Sorry for the inconvenience....

Using different configurable equaliser settings between measurements can cause errors, I have fixed that for the next beta build. I have also suppressed the messages about config differences. Configurable EQ could, depending on the frequency, gain and Q step sizes, use an optimiser which could generate values the equaliser might not support but adjust them to match the equaliser afterwards, that adjustment didn't always get properly applied. I have also fixed that, but for configurable equalisers with frequency steps of 1 Hz or greater it is better to use a stochastic optimiser so I have also made that change.

Ok - wrong again. On the "Filter Window", the frequencies display as integer vaiues. When you store them, sometime some of them are not integers.
I did find that the MTRX Studio has a minimum frequency of 20 Hz and had to go update all the Configurable PEQ settings and that also was a bit prone to getting error messages and crashes, but once it was all updated. I regenerated all the filters again and mostly see some integer Hz, but still some with at least one decimal place. I've also been using the "Manual Optimize Cpmtrol: Gains, Freqency, Q" because it seems to help sometimes, but I'm not sure if I correlated that with the fractional Hz values.
If you need me to send an updated mdat at this point, let me know.

Thanks John. I'm sorry this got a bit muddled. Let me know if you need anything more from me for what was reporting. Sounds like you may have covered it all.

So FWIW, retrying again on the Sub, the "Match the target" had integer frequencies. The "Manual Optimization Control - Freq/Gain/Q" did produce franctional Hz.
