hello, I am having difficulty calibrating REW with my config. Is there an incompatibility between the software and my Babyface sound card? in fact at the time of calibration, in the 3 columns "out", "in", and "ref in", only the "out" column modulates. I use this sound card and Mac config with smaart and everything works well. Could you help me correctly configure my config please? thank you in advance.

Check the input volume settings for the Babyface in the mac's Audio Midi Setup utility.

here are 2 snapshots of the Audio Midi Setup utility config. the volumes are linked to the totalmix software which controls the sound card. for me everything is ok. but REW doesn't want to know anything!

Please click the "Generate debug file" button on the REW soundcard preferences and attach the file that produces.

I think Mic/Line 1 is the onboard Mac input.
No it isn't for me . the babyface is selected in preferences so it's the babyface input Mic 1.

Please open the Signal generator and play a 1 kHz sine tone then open the Levels window and post a screenshot of that. This is the button for it:

That -484.66 dBFS level means REW is getting digital zero as data from the input, you can also see that at the bottom of the REW window where the input bit monitor shows all bits stuck at zero. That can happen if REW does not have permission to access the mic, so worth checking that. It can also happen for digital inputs that are not receiving data, but you should be on an analog input unless there is something strange going on so permissions seems more likely.

it's strange ! I tried REW, on the same computer, with my old EDIROL UA5 sound card and it doesn't work any better. Does the problem come from REW? I'll try another Mac this evening if that works better. If there is a problem with access authorization to the inputs of the sound card why is there none on the outputs because I have the sound coming out of the babyface. Furthermore, for your information, I use this babyface with other measurement software and it works without problems. Thanks for your help.

Macs apply mic permissions on a per-application basis. REW should automatically get access as that permission is part of the code signature, but if it doesn't have access check the Mac's privacy settings.
