For better compatibility with convolver software it would be nice if the number of filter taps could be limited upon exporting filters as WAV. Currently, the number of taps results automatically from the export sample rate and the WAV duration (just under 3 seconds). With sample rates higher than 96k this results in filters with over 500k taps. It would be useful if the number of taps could be limited in the export dialog somehow.

Oh I see. I tried this but it produced a silent filter, so I figured the answer must be something else. Basically, I am trying to get the pulse as close to the beginning of the file as possible so as to reduce the delay on my filter. It's just a basic minimum phase correction for my headphones, but there are 3 seconds of delay in the filter and I'm not sure how to handle it. When I export filters based on the auto eq function, they have virtually no latency. However, inverting the responses and exporting them as a filter is a different story - one I haven't spent any time with (in REW at least) yet. The IR Windows are showing 5000+ ms. I had taken my responses (B) and my target (A) and divided them (A/B) to get the inverted filter.

If your IR is minimum phase pick the "Place t=0 at sample index" option and set the index to zero.

The result of that operation is usually not minimum phase, you would need to make a minimum phase copy of the result.
