Can someone please explain how this new feature should be used ? Just the fact that I am asking probably means I don't need it ;)

Finally had a chance to take a closer look at this feature. Here's how I use it....
When multiple filter settings each give a nice step and frequency response, I now take a look at how the phase response matches up with the target. I select the filter having good step + phase response.

It's just there to provide more opportunities to analyse things. Sometimes it may be beneficial to look at phase, for instance, to check that two drivers have a similar phase behavior ... a reasonably fixed phase diffference ... in the crossover region. Regions with cancellations can sometimes lead to a poor driver integration.

Most of the time the FR plots and IR plots (and Step plots) tell me all I need to know.
