I ran Audyssey on the phone app and I am now using FEW to see how well it did. I measured my sub with and with out correction and it appears to have done a really good job. My question is should I trust what Audyssey did? I keep hearing you should not correct by boosting, when it did but the sub is measuring well now. It does have some rattle I am going to head over to the HSU forum to see if it is normal. My sub is the VF2- mk5.

Unfortunately I cannot add a sub at this time and placement cannot change much at all.

There are some good reasons for some circumstances. Not universally true, though. Audyssey has been around forever. I would fully expect the software to manage headroom/clipping and not worry about it at all.

It does have some rattle I am going to head over to the HSU forum to see if it is normal.
A rattle isn’t normal. Hope you can get it resolved.

Welcome to the forum! :)

Your sub shouldn't rattle. I forget what that indicates but it isn't good. I have Hsu subs and this happened to me a while back. If you're boosting the bass you need to back it down a bit.

I emailed their support with a video.
