Curious how Dirac Live ART and Auro-Matic use your speakers?

Todd Anderson suggested in this thread that I record a video showing how the Auro-Matic strength settings affected the speakers. I did, but I thought I may as well add how ART uses speakers. This short video uses the StormAudio ISP Elite MK3 Processor Monitoring Vumeter to show how Dirac Live Active Room Treatment interacts with the speakers supporting the front speakers and what speakers are affected by Auro-Matic (Auro-3D's upmixer) with a two-channel input and multi-channel input. Yeah... when I first got the MK3 my first question was how do we really know if ART is doing anything, outside of hearing improvements and measurements that may tell us a little, but not everything. Matt at StormAudio mentioned playing two-channel music and turning off the two front speakers in the settings. Then you can hear the support speakers, which sounds weird. But then one day I was playing around with the Vumeter and noticed there was output on many of the speakers, and it hit me what was going on. I figured those who had the unit probably knew about it, and I never even thought to bring it up in a discussion, so when you mentioned the Auro-Matic screen recording, I figured it would be a great time to include the ART output as well.

That reminds me, there's a little-known feature in the Elite AVRs which is only available in the mobile app: you can mute any speaker you want individually. It's something that's been in the Elite line since...maybe the 2nd iteration of the mobile app, so 15 years now? I can't remember. Anyway, it's useful for spot checking/level measuring surround channels.

I have absolutely no idea why it was only in the app, and it always drove me bananas that, once I was finally in a position to dictate design changes somewhat, I was never able to strong-arm the engineers into building that feature into the on screen GUI, and porting it over to the Integras. That was always at the bottom of our priorities list, so I take responsibility for that lapse.
 
No doubt a handy feature to have for any AVR or processor.
