Jack's Rec Room, Music/HT Room

Description

I have a walkout basement that I use as a combination rec room and music/HT room. I mostly listen to music, but I find this system to be very capable for home theater also. The room is oddly shaped so the acoustics aren't perfect, but I enjoy it very much.

My equipment:
AVR: Yamaha RX-A3040
BD: Oppo BDP-103D
Power Conditioner: Monster Power
Turntable: Fisher
TV: Samsung UN60H6350
Front: Ascend Acoustics Sierra Towers with RAAL
Center: Ascend Acoustics Horizon with RAAL
Surround: Polk Audio RT2000p
Front Height: Polk Audio RT55i
Rear Height: Polk Audio RT35i
Subs: Dual JTR 118HT with miniDSP 2x4 HD

BTW - I won my first 118HT in a giveaway contest here at AV NIRVANA! Thanks again to the folks at AV NIRVANA!

Nice setup. Love the pool table and the AV stuff all together. Similar to the way, I have mine setup. :)

Congrats. Looks great.

Rocky Mountain High!!! Great looking room... you've got it all! Fitness? Check. Games? Check. Home Theater? Check.

MASSIVE BASS CAPABILITIES? Double check ;-)

Thanks for sharing this room. Where do you have the second JTR sub?

Thanks, Todd.

The 2nd sub is on the wall by the pool table, pointed at the back of the couch. Used to have it on the back wall (below the Home Plate and bobble-heads), but moved it to its current location after purchasing the miniDSP 2x4 HD and moving the sub all over the room and running REW sweeps. I found that the subs had the best FR with the 2nd one in this spot. Not the best for playing pool, but I keep both subs on furniture sliders so they are easy to move as necessary. I use Outlaw's OAW4 wireless receiver on this sub, so it's pretty easy to place it anywhere in the room.

I tried to point it out in these pics.
