Home Theater by Jeff

Description

Ok I hope I’m posting this correctly, my system consists of a Integra 80.6 pre amp, 5 channel and 2 channel x 400 Rotel amps, Pioneer Elite blu ray, Parmax Voltage Stabilize, B&W 805 front, B&W CWM DS8/8180 surrounds (in the sound panels) B&W CCM 80 rears, SVS PB4000 sub, Epson 5040UB, 120” Screen Inovation Black Diamond. I have approximately 100 square feet of custom made, custom upholstered sound panels on the walls with custom black out curtains. The entire system including the lighting runs on a Crestron control system On an IPad. My system is 97% finished with my equipment rack located across the hall in a coat closet. The finished equipment rack will eventually reside in a custom floating cabinet located under the screen so my wife can reclaim her coat closet. With the sound panels on the wall the sound is simply fantastic. The room is approximately 19’ x 16’ x 9’ with 4 Lane power recliners.

Very nice looking room, Jeff. :T... just a smidge larger than my dedicated space.

I love the fact you have the Crestron system controlling everything. Excellent!!!

The Crestron is really nice and especially stable but I wish I could program it myself. It’s expensive to make changes, so if you plan on changing components there’s added cost to reprogram the Crestron.
I just had to replace my amp in my SVS-13 Ultra, and apparently the new 1,200 watt amp basically makes it a PB-4000. Really cool to have remote control of the sub.

What happened with your amp in the 13 ultra?

The amp just died after an estimated 20,000 + hours of operation. It was the old Bash amp, replaced with a new Sledge amp.

Hi Jeff! On top of your great A/V setup you have very good taste for interior decoration with the lamps and acoustic panel motif/colors. Excellent!

Thanks Grayson, the acoustic panels work really well, i built them using 2” thick, 3lb density hard board Fiberglass with upholstery Dacron over it then the upholstery cloth over it. The two rear panels house my flush mount B&W surround speakers. The sound is outstanding...

Very Nice setup. Can you share what rack mount you are using (the one in the picture you shared). I am looking into getting one but can't figure out which one to buy.

The rack is a Middle Atlantic Product. It’s pretty heavy duty as I have some REALLY HEAVY equipment in it. I has some nice casters as I can pull the entire rack out of the closet with two fingers. Highly recommended...
