(February 19, 2025) One of the more interesting and unique finds at ISE 2024 was a Chilean speaker company called Mapu Audio. Originally introduced as MAPUGUAQUÉN Speakers in 2018, the company has since applied acoustic and production improvements and re-launched itself. Mapu's speakers are handmade, using as many renewable resources as possible, shedding plastic where it can, and tapping the skills of local artisans. The result is works of art that harness wireless technologies and onboard amplification to make the speakers as room-friendly as possible.
