So this past summer, my oldest daughter and I ran off the side of a mountain in the Swiss Alps and enjoyed some 30 min. of paragliding flight time over the mountains, valleys, a glacier, and some breath taking farm land. It's the first time I've ever done something like this - I loved it. 10,000 ft up seems mighty high when there's not much separating you from falling to the ground.

Yesterday, I saw this video... wow. Honestly, it makes my entire body numb. I can't quite imagine how this guy held on... and I'm really glad I didn't have a similar experience! Doesn't look like he was super high, but high enough that a fall probably would have been fatal.

Here's a couple of pics of us in flight:

someone obviously did not ensure that he was buckled in correctly. I love heights and would love to do this sometime.

wow, that is amazing he was able to hold on..

I know. I'm not sure how he did it. Try doing a dead hang for 3 minutes with someone shoving on your legs.

It ain't easy!

Cool pic Todd. Looks like you had a great time. Awesome view.
For me it will never happen. I'm a big chicken when it comes to heights. I don't know how people do it but they have my respect.... for their insanity. Hah, just kidding! Still won't do it though. If I had to :thud:

It was something else @JStewart... you go off the side of a mountain... and then literally catch these thermals along mountainside/cliff walls that take you higher and higher and higher. My wife and younger teenage daughter wanted nothing to do with it. But my 16 yr old was game... we both were nervous, for sure!

Amazing pics but a big NOPE from me. I’ve got a pretty good story about heights when I was in the Marine Corps. I’ll tell later when I’ve got more time.
