Another newbie Question: Measuring without sweep

Hello,
is it possible to use REW and umik-1 to measure musical instruments/devices like gongs, singing bowls etc. ?
I am interested in frequencys harmonics by level and the decay of those.
If it`s possible, how can i measure without a sweep?

You can use the RTA to look at the spectrum or you could record audio data to a file and analyse it, including waterfalls and spectrograms, using File -> import audio data. You would probably be better off with a tool that is aimed at analysis of audio signals though, like Sonic Visualiser.
