Not sure if this is the right place to post this but does anyone know when there going to release the new Apple TV 2020. I read somewhere that it’s already to ship...

Apple seems to be able to keep a good lid on releases for hardware. I had heard June at one point... :dontknow:

Really looking forward to Apple TV 2020. i currently have the third generation Non 4K

add me to this thread. I've cycled most of the non-4k Apple TVs out to other family members, and they're waiting for this upgrade cycle to start to get their paws on the current first gen 4k model.

I'm "hoping" for HDMI 2.1, updated processor (A13x, A14?), immediate HomeKit response, and possibly revamped remote control, though I'll be happy with just a couple of those.

AppleTV is one of the few Apple devices that isn't released on a predictable cycle, though there have been hits in the new beta OS releases. The next model is rumored to be based on the same chip as the new iPhone, so I wouldn't expect it until the new iPhone demand is under control.

iPhone is typically released early September, however supply chain struggles this year have impacted the iPhone. I have heard there will be a 1-3 week delay in release (so not that big of a delay).

I could also be completely wrong. These are just my thoughts.

that makes perfect sense @thrillcat , thanks !! I'll try and quell my hopes until late October then based on earnings calling for an iPhone 12 few week delay, far less than feared considering supply chain struggles and parts shortages due to covid-19.

I'm honestly more excited by "Apple Tags" rumored Tile competitor. I want them for our outdoor pets, and for the myriad of things we continently misplace around the house. even mundane things likes smaller guitar items that the cats bat around never to be found again (Boss Waza-Air headphones, useless w/out the recently lost dongle)

Also very excited about Apple Silicon Macs, hopefully a headless Mac mini too for integration with AV system, and running native iPhone, iPad apps in home theater for those not ported to Apple TV.

Forbes article supposedly from a leaker.
