Are there any reasons for these mini series type of shows? I noticed a lot of them on other streaming channels. Are the studio's testing to see if they are worth investing or not? if ratings are high, they would go for a full season?

This truly is a very well done show by Apple. My wife and I really enjoyed it, the acting is fantastic.
