(January 23, 2025) – ASCENDO Immersive Audio GmbH has announced its latest innovation in high-performance home theater technology with the new Ultra-Low-Noise DSP ULN2-2604 amplifier. Set to debut at Integrated Systems Europe 2025 in Barcelona, this amplifier addresses the persistent challenge of noisy DSP systems, delivering powerful and efficient performance without compromising on silence. Designed for use in active two- or three-way systems, the ULN2-2604 is tailored for discerning home theater enthusiasts who demand both exceptional sound and an ultra-quiet noise floor.

“Having powerful and low-latency DSP in a high-performance home theater system is no longer a luxury—it’s a necessity," explains Geoffrey Heinzel, co-managing partner of ASCENDO. "It took us three years of research and development to achieve the perfect balance of power and silence with the DSP ULN2-2604, which has the lowest noise floor available in home theater today.”

The DSP ULN2-2604, built for larger home theaters, is housed in a 2RU 19-inch rack-mountable enclosure that features back-to-front whisper quiet ventilation. Key specifications include a 2kW amplifier stable to 4 ohms, optimized for highly dynamic woofers. Selectable 300W or 600W outputs for tweeters are also available, ensuring precise performance across different speaker configurations. With an ultra-low noise floor of just 20 microvolts, this amplifier is engineered to maintain the integrity of the listening experience in even the quietest environments.

A third low-noise DSP channel with a balanced XLR output is included for connection with an additional amplifier and speaker, if needed. For enhanced synchronization, the amplifier integrates an FIR filter for linear phase tweeter alignment, delivering highly accurate sound reproduction across all channels.

For applications requiring digital signal processing without built-in amplification, ASCENDO also offers the new DSP-4D standalone unit, providing the same advanced DSP capabilities in a different form factor.
