(March 9, 2021) Atlantic Technology’s product pipeline is seemingly endless, as we’re routinely treated to exciting new reveals. Today, the company is launching a powerful wireless multichannel soundbar that gives owners access to 13 different audio input sources, four different DSP sound modes, and vast connectivity.
At its heart, the Gatecrasher3 PowerBar is a 3-channel soundbar loaded with six 2.5” composite polypropylene woofers and three .75” tweeters capable of native output from 80Hz to 20kHz. It’s sized to nestle proportionally under medium to large flatscreen TVs (50.5” W x 4.4” H x 3” D, 16.8 lbs) and can be wall-mounted with included hardware. It’s also expandable, with the ability to be linked to Atlantic Technology’s FS Series SKAA wireless subs and active surround speakers for 3.1 and 5.1 system performance while also integrating into a larger multi-room wireless system comprised of 11 other Atlantic Technology wireless products.
Gatecrasher3 ships with four built-in streaming services (Spotify, TIDAL, Deezer, and Qobuz) and access to internet radio, DLNA, and a host of advanced wireless sources (SKAA, dual-band Wi-Fi, aptX Bluetooth, and AAC). It also carries optical and coax digital inputs, RCA stereo inputs, and HDMI with Audio Return Channel functionality. This vast array of wireless and wired inputs allows owners to play music from just about any source, including 16-bit/48 kHz audio via SKAA wireless connections. And if a preferred source isn’t SKAA capable, Atlantic Technology offers six different adaptors that can make any analog and digital device a SKAA source.
Control-wise, Gatecrasher3 has a range of side-mounted controls for control of volume, input selection, power, and SKAA bond. It also ships with a 12 function IR remote and is compatible with a free Android and iOS app.
SKAA Artificial Intelligence Self Set-up simplifies integration with other SKAA wireless devices. While this feature makes it easy to create a 3.1 or 5.1 system, it also means that Gatecrasher3 will automatically connect to Atlantic Technology’s forthcoming FS-BTWS528 wireless headphones. In fact, up to four different users can connect with these headphones – that’s a unique claim to fame.
