(April 5, 2024) Atlantic Technology has announced its first-ever portable music system, the Nexa 1. Weighing just 2.6 pounds and equipped with convenience features, the Nexa 1 is designed for music fans on the go.
Internally, the speaker carries two aluminum 2.5” full-range drivers bolstered by a rear oval passive radiator. That array is driven by a 60-watt amplifier. Using Bluetooth 5.3, the Nexa 1 can be fed wireless tunes from a range approaching 328 feet, giving owners the ability to roam free within a large area. And thanks to a healthy onboard battery, the speaker can be used for up to 15 hours on a full charge.
Onwers can pair a second Nexa 1 – or any other compatible device – using one-touch TWS pairing.
With an IPX 5 water rating, Nexa 1 is resistant to both dust and water, allowing it to be used outdoors. A touch-sensitive film covering its LEDs and top-panel controls is waterproof, as are its USB-C charging port, auxiliary input, and microSD card slot.
LED and sound indicators relay operational status, enhancing usability, and topside controls offer easy access to essential functions such as Play/Pause, Volume adjustment, and Track selection. A dedicated Hang-up button allows the user to conveniently end phone calls, while the Aux switch, phone assistant controls, and sound effect/mode switching options further enhance versatility.
Speaking of calls, a built-in microphone allows for hands-free calling, making it convenient to stay connected.
