Congratulations on a breathtaking system! Thanks for the video, but I can only imagine what it sounds like in person. I hope you enjoy your system for many years! I know you have changed equipment over the years, are there any other planned changes or upgrades? Also, what song was playing in the video?

Thanks, Jack. While I should never say never, I'm probably the most settled I've ever been with what I have. I don't think there is anywhere else for me to go. Music and movies truly sound amazing to me. I may swap out the big screen at some point, but otherwise, I'm happy.

That song is from the Yello One Touch album. The track is Til Tomorrow with Till Brönner on the trumpet.

Glad to hear you've reached your music/movie goals! Most of us dream it, but you've achieved it. :hail:

Thanks for the Yello info, I'll look into that.

Room is amazing! :hail:

I like the use of the JTR 10” Slanted speakers on the ceiling. May I ask what the ceiling height of the room is and how they were attached?

Thanks... much appreciated!

Room height is 8.5' and the speakers are 9" deep. They come with four metal brackets attached on the back. I had a small piece of 1/8" tile board that I cutout a pattern for the four screw holes and the speaker connection. Drilled a small hole so I could see the white drywall under the black paint and know where to place my screws. Using deck screws, I screwed in the four screws and drilled a larger hole for the speaker wires. There is 5/8" drywall, 3/4" plywood and 1/2" sheetrock on the ceiling, so I have something good to screw into with the 3/4" plywood. The front screws were about 1/8" lower than the rear so that the speaker would have a ever so slight amount of pressure and not slide backwards after mounting them. However, to avoid risk of vibrating backwards and falling, I cutout some small 2" squares from some 1/2" black PVC left over from another project. I drilled a hole in the center and screwed them into the ceiling wedging them against the back of the speaker so that it is good and tight and can't move backwards. Then I siliconed around the entire speaker. I would imagine even if the screws were not holding the speakers, that silicone would hold them.

Thank you!

Very clever. Thanks for sharing!

Well... I can't take all the credit. I can't remember where I saw it, but someone else (maybe Youthman) did something similar using metal L brackets, which gave me the idea.

I did the silicone with my previous speakers, and it was a challenge to get it off the ceiling without tearing the drywall out, so I knew it would be a good idea once I had the speakers in place.
