(January 19, 2025) Mark your calendars: AXPONA (Audio Expo North America) is back for its 16th year, taking over the Schaumburg Convention Center from April 11-13, 2025. As the largest high-end audio event in North America, AXPONA brings together audiophiles, industry professionals, and music lovers for three days of sound, cutting-edge technology, and hands-on experiences. This year, attendees can expect a new addition to the lineup—the inaugural Car Audio Showcase—alongside returning favorites like the Exhibit Hall, Ear Gear Experience, and 200+ Listening Rooms.
New for 2025, the Car Audio Showcase invites enthusiasts to experience top-tier car audio systems firsthand. Partnering with IASCA, AXPONA will feature manufacturers and dealers offering demonstrations of high-performance car audio products. So, whether you’re a seasoned car audio enthusiast or exploring the category for the first time, this addition promises a unique opportunity to hear how good car audio can get.
The Exhibit Hall remains a centerpiece of the event, featuring an array of turntables, tonearms, racks, cartridges, cables, and accessories. The popular Record Fair returns as well, offering a treasure trove of vinyl—both new and vintage. Renowned exhibitors such as Acoustic Sounds, Music Direct, and GIK Acoustics will showcase their products alongside other prominent brands.
For personal audio enthusiasts, the Ear Gear Experience has been upgraded for 2025. Set in a spacious ballroom to optimize the listening environment, attendees will find everything from open-back and closed-back headphones to in-ear monitors and personal audio accessories. Notable brands like Audeze, Campfire Audio, Technics, and ZMF Headphones will exhibit their latest innovations.
At the heart of AXPONA are its Listening Rooms. With over 200 rooms dedicated to showcasing high-performance audio systems, attendees can compare and experience the latest offerings from more than 700 global manufacturers and retailers. Featured names include Audio-Technica, Magico, Luxman, Perlisten Audio, and Steinway Lyngdorf. These rooms provide an unparalleled opportunity to experience audio systems in a controlled, private setting.
In addition to the exhibits, AXPONA offers scheduled educational seminars and nightly live concerts. While details about this year’s performers are forthcoming, past events have featured a wide range of talented artists and engaging presentations on industry trends and technologies.
