(February 14, 2025) Bang & Olufsen has unveiled the Beosound 2 Gradient Collection, a limited-edition release highlighting the creative possibilities of the brand’s newly introduced Atelier program. Designed to push the boundaries of customization, the Atelier initiative allows customers to craft one-of-a-kind Bang & Olufsen products using over 500,000 possible combinations of colors, materials, and finishes available through an intuitive digital platform.

The Beosound 2 Gradient Collection brings this concept to life with ten exclusive color gradients, each inspired by the emotions of sound. Limited to just ten individually numbered pieces per design, this collection exemplifies Bang & Olufsen’s commitment to blending artistic expression with high-performance audio engineering. Each speaker is finished with meticulous precision at Bang & Olufsen’s renowned Factory 5 in Struer, Denmark, where expert artisans apply advanced aluminum finishing techniques to achieve seamless gradient transitions.

Standing at approximately 17 inches tall and weighing just over 9 pounds, the Beosound 2 is crafted from high-grade aluminum, giving it both a premium feel and durable structure. The conical design not only provides an elegant aesthetic but also enhances the speaker’s 360-degree sound dispersion, ensuring an immersive audio experience from any listening position. Equipped with active room compensation technology, the Beosound 2 adapts its output based on the acoustics of its surroundings, delivering a balanced and precise sound signature.

Functionally, the Beosound 2 supports a range of streaming technologies, including Apple AirPlay 2, Google Cast, and Spotify Connect, making it easy to integrate into any modern home setup. Connectivity options also include Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, ensuring seamless integration with smart home systems and wireless sources.

The intuitive touch interface on the top panel allows users to adjust volume, skip tracks, or change inputs with a simple gesture.

With only 100 units available worldwide, each Beosound 2 Gradient Collection is priced at a whopping $5,700, making it a true rarefied stand-alone wireless speaker. The collection will be available exclusively through select Bang & Olufsen stores and online via the Atelier digital platform.

All you need is a lava lamp and a little Iron Butterfly... In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida...

That’s one expensive lava lamp!

Or Pink Floyd Echos on repeat!
