Hello REW users.
I designed a simple filter made of two All Pass phase filters, type compensate, one 1st order one 2nd order, Q=sqrt(2)/2, 47.9Hz.
To the ears, the bass is no more tight and precised, it is smeared in the lowest region.
What is the best way to view this "ringing" issue in REW?
I've noticed a compromised clarity in the whole bass band, wondering if there is a more revealing tool.
Of course, any other suggestion upon why such a low Q all pass phase filter is so bad is appreciated.
With regards
