Bluesound’s PULSE SUB+ Delivers Convenient and Impactful Wireless Bass

(September 22, 2020) Bluesound is upping its low-end attack with its latest release. Designed from the ground up, the PULSE SUB+ promises to hit hard while remaining room friendly. Sized at a reasonable 18” W x 11.8” T x 5.75” D, the SUB+ is small enough to mount on a wall, slide under a couch, or stand vertically near furniture.

Of course, placement flexibility is rarely enough to please bass seeking enthusiasts; output likely tops the list of wants. Utilizing an 8” long-throw driver commanded by a 150W Smart Amplifier with DSP, Bluesound says the SUB+ can output frequencies as low as 22Hz with a quick, musical character capable of driving both music and home theater applications.

“At Bluesound, we take pride in the uniqueness and innovation instilled into our products, and the PULSE speakers are no exception," explains Matt Simmonds, Product Manager for Bluesound. “The SUB+ builds on our original PULSE SUB and takes it to the next level by combining deep bass, wireless convenience, and flexible applications and does so at an affordable price.”

Convenience factors include wireless connectivity, compatibility with other BluOS-enabled products from Bluesound and NAD Electronics, and simple setup. Using the BluOS Controller app, the SUB+ can quickly pair with another Bluesound product, and playback characteristics such as volume, crossover, and phase adjustment are easily adjusted.

Priced at $749 (MSRP), the PULSE SUB+ will begin shipping in black or white finishes by late October 2020.

That's a decent price point for this. As a Node2i owner, I was expecting higher as I began reading.

I agree. Priced right and looks like a nice piece of gear.
