Bug: REW pulldown lists float above other application windows

If a REW pulldown list is opened (e.g. Output devices), but no selection is made before another application window is opened on top of the REW window, then the selection list floats on top of the other application's window, obscuring it.

In this visually "orphaned"/floating state a selection can still be made from the list, which will dismiss the list.

This looks like java + your DE issue. Very unlikely that REW could do anything about it. Especially if you are using Wayland/XWayland for java8.

I would suggest to try newer java which may may have changes/fixes in linux UI integration https://www.avnirvana.com/threads/rew-linux-installation.6711/#post-77847 . The newer java the better.

FYI: This problem with pulldown lists "staying on top" persists running under JRE 17.0.9 64-bit.

(Its a very minor issue - just though someone should know if not already.)

My 2 cents it's caused by Wayland. It still has a long way to go. I do not use it anywhere yet.
