First of all: I love REW and will make donations!

I have done ~50 measurements and 100+ attempts to equalize. One of the equalizations is in my opinion amazing and that is the one I use (Sounds very realistic). When I open the good EQ-file in APO-Editor it seems to equalize in more detail than the others.

With the best EQ I made I didn´t use any smoothing or overall boost. It was made from only one measurement. I also manually lowered 350Hz and 800Hz to get rid of some “box/can-sounds”.

I have made several measurements in different places around my listening area and averaged them, but the average seems to be too flat to make any better.

I have the recommended Umik-1
The problem is that I can´t reproduce my results. I want to do more accurate measurements with a feedback loop but I guess first things first!

My best regards
/Vina

If you are mainly two-channel... you won't be able to take measurements in various positions and be able to see an accurate result of what you are hearing. The only way to really do this is leave the mic in one position, take a few measurements, equalize, don't move the mic, then measure again.

Are you moving your head around that much when you listen? It won't really matter, from my experience, leaving the mic in the same position pre and post equalization is the best way to get an accurate idea of what you are really hearing.

IMO... flat has never sounded good, but to each his own.
