I finally have a decent setup for my music/HT area with REW as the essential tool with minidsp to align my 3 very disparate subs on my Anthem 1140. The Anthem down mixes everything for a line out that I send to a Sonos amp that my wife and I can activate with our phones. I have 2 small Paradigm speakers and an old Paradigm Monitor sub 8. The Sonos amp has a line level sub out and the sub and Sonos amp allow to shift phase and the amp allows to change the crossover freq. I want to optimize what I can for Zone 2 but can't tell what I am doing w/o sweeps. I have been using the Java drivers for REW as could not get the Asio drivers to work on my lap top/avr. I wonder if I can at least get sweeps for Zone 2 with my AVR if I chose the REW input? I might at least be able to see if phase shift makes a difference and results of changing the cross over freq? I suppose could use a minidsp on the output to the sub to allow for delays but their is no clear main listening position for zone 2. It isn't as critical as the other room but I wish to improve the performance if possible. Appreciate any suggestions.

Maybe save a sweep tone with timing reference to a .wav file (use the Generator function in REW) and play it as you would with any other music file thru your kit to zone 2... Take your laptop to zone 2 and measure with your mic...

Thank you for the suggestion. Come to think of it after your suggestion, perhaps if I chose the REW HDMI and send to Zone 2 it will work. Not sure about adjustment strategy. Many tutorials on main room with multiple subs but not on zone 2.

Ran into a temporary glitch--"soundcard did not provide any input data from Umic-1". Saw a posted solution on this forum --start the generator first and that resolved it. I did update the OS to win 11 recently and perhaps that caused it. I hope I remember for next time.

Picking the REW as input for zone 2 worked perfectly. Only problem is I can't just run the Paradigm sub 8 by itself w/o disconnecting the satellites which are mounted about 7ft up on the wall. I just wanted to optimize the cross over--- and that worked. I chose 90 HZ but 100 Hz was just as good or better than 100 Hz. I didn't want to be able to localize the sub so chose 90 Hz. Inverting didn't help, best I could tell. So, mission accomplished.

The results look rater mediocre, but I don't have much experience. After I was done I ran PBK from Anthem which is the old version of Anthem room correction as the current version did not recognize the sub. I got out my win 7 lap top and it worked! That software allows one to plug right into the sub. I did the procedure backasswards but the crossover frequency optimization would not change much. Not sure I'll gain much from a minidsp on the sub out line but would consider it. I appended a sweep from the MLP in the Libray wit 3 subs aligned with a mini dsp. I ran ARC over it and the sub portion doesn't look super but sounds pretty good. I ran a full sweep w/o raising the cross over so the mains are contributing of course. Appreciate the help on this forum.
