Yeah... I'd like to see Jon produce a nice sized 3-way center speaker.

From the Chane L7 thread looks like there will be two center speakers in the new L series line:

L6. Matching five-driver, 6.5"-based center LCR speaker
L3c. Three-driver, 6.5"-based MTM LCR speaker

L6 - 750mm long x 235 wide x 335 deep, or 29.5" x 9.25 x 13.2"
L3c - 520mm long z 225 wide x 345 deep, or 20.5" x 8.9" x 13.6"

The L6 looks pretty impressive.

I would definitely go for the L6. I wonder if it would timber match the A5's?

Oh yeah.... that L6 is what I'm talking about... :T

You guys need to go check out the L7 thread over on the Chane forum, if you haven't done so today . . . page 37 and 38 :)

I saw it earlier. Between Jon Lane's post and the pic, wow. Just wow. Can't wait. Hope they're in black right off the bat for you :T

Well, if they're available in black too I'll have quite a decision to make. That picture is gorgeous and maybe I won't be able to say no to that finish. Black is theoretically better for a dark theater, but I like my eye candy too! It will help that the front face is black regardless.

Yeah... gotta have black. Patiently waiting.

Any one see this? Something I have not read about.....

Interesting... wonder which speaker manufacturers have considered this.

Would the admins want to consider stripping the chane discussion from this thread and moving it Chane L Series anticipation thread so as not to detract from the Emotiva's which are reportedly and excellent speaker as well?

I don't know but there are router bits available to do it fairly easy. I was thinking about doing something with my 12trxb's.

Done :T

Thank you Sonnie.

Just my $0.02 to try your best to hold out for black so long as its a light sucking black and not a gloss or semi gloss. If the walnut finish cabinets were right and left of your projection screen they will kick light back to it and it will affect the contrast. I have a black oak svs prime center now and chane A2.4 currently right and left and even they reflect light back on the screen or can be noticed during bright scenes. I keep a cut piece of triple black velvet on top of the center so it completely disappears.

On the other hand they would indeed be eye candy ...

I have a pair of beautiful and superb sounding speakers right now that I would love to keep, but they are gloss black, and I just refuse to put gloss black in my room.

Thanks for the notice, guys.

The walnut finish is so nice that we just had to launch with it. The L series is aimed toward lifestyle-conscious users - mixed use spaces like living and family rooms.

For those who also see it as a theater room speaker, we can also provide the standard Chane A Series black simulated ash. It's a simple order option for us. The finish on the front and back baffles remains the same (and is going to both please and surprise you).

We'll also work to move this line into deluxe finishes later on, but the opening shots feature the walnut finish with black as an option. It's up to customers which they'd like to see and approximately when.

Sounds like a bunch of people are excited to hear the new offerings, Jon.

Me, too!!!

The L6 is still a go with Jon, he is talking about them on his forum and they should be ready by September.

Probably more like July...

Hey Jon, good to see you on the forum. I was just giving you a little wiggle room. I think I can speak for many of us when I say we don't mind waiting. We know what's coming and would never even consider rushing you. :sun:

And did I mention that's my birth month! What a present!!! Now if I can just get the wife on board. :woohoo:

Can't wait for July then. Keeping a close watch on the inbox for an email from Chane.

I'm antsy about these speakers, even though I am still not quite prepared to order yet. The wait is killing me . . . :crying:

Thanks JS, looks like you are pretty close to Jons shop. You could do an actual pick up!

Is Chane is Sarasota? Not a long drive at all if they are. Meeting Jon Lane too would make it well worth a trip.
