Hopefully, this isn't a too silly question and hopefully, I can explain myself clearly
I have noticed of late that REW uses the Characteristics of a Butterworth filter at the crossover slopes, for example, if I was to set the target level at 100 dB, the LF cutoff at 1000hz with 24db slope, the roll of would start at approx 1600hz and at 25db down it is around 487hz, which is a match for my DSP
If however, I set the DSP to a Bessel slope with an LF cutoff at 1000hz with 24db slope, then the roll of starts at around 3500hz and at 25db down it is around 330hz.
No matter what I try in REW I am unable to change the filter characteristics from Butterworth to Bessel (or Linkwitz) to match the DSP. From doing a help search I can see that they are supported in Generic Equaliser, but how you actually change them in the is a complete mystery. I'm a novice at best when it comes to REW so apologies if this is a really stupid question
