(April 14, 2023). French speaker maker, Focal, is using AXPONA 2023 to launch a new moderately-priced speaker range called Theva. Designed to accommodate nearly any stereo or home theater setup, the lineup consists of six different speakers.
The most expensive model of the lot is the Theva No3-D ($1,499 each), a 3-way tower speaker with a built-in Atmos driver that brings the flair of immersive sound into the fold. And for the $300 less, the No3 eliminates the Atmos component for a more traditional floorstanding design.
Landing under the $900 price mark, the Theva No2 represents a new direction in Focal's design philosophies. Made for rooms tight on space, its ultra-slim cabinet utilizes 5" drivers as part of a 3-way array. This is a first for the legendary Eurpoean brand. And if space is truly at a premium, or if you're looking for position-friendly side and rear surrounds with a traditional cabinet, the No1 is a bookshelf option that lands at $499 (each). Surround performance is taken a step further with the shallow-depth Theva Surround ($649 each), which is wall mountable.
A center channel ($649) and stand ($149) help round out a complete home theater model range. A bookshelf stand ($269) can also be purchased.
Focal says the range features drivers constructed with its proprietary Slatefiber technology, an exclusive cone described as capable of being both dynamic and rich. Also made by Focal, the TNF tweeter is crafted to deliver a mellow, clear treble frequency.
Theva will be unveiled at Axpona (Audio Expo North America) from April 14th-16th in Schaumburg, a suburb of Chicago, IL. It's available for purchase through authorized retailers, now.
