I was watching Colbert last night and Will Smith was the guest. I was pleasantly surprised to hear that they shot Gemini Man in 120fps. And Will kept ranting about how you had to go and see it in 3D. Will 120fps give the pretty much dead 3D new life? To be honest I'm intrigued and I've written off 3D several years ago.

We won't be watching it in 3D in my theater as those glasses got tossed a few years back. Besides, I doubt that it will fix the main issues with 3D which are the glasses and causing some people headaches. All the women in my house hated it, my son liked it and I thought the video quality degraded too much wearing glasses.

Moved this to a more appropriate sub forum.

From what reviews I have seen regarding this movie, it may not have been the best choice to try and get 3D going again. Seems like some reviewers like the high fram rate and some don't.

The movie itself is bombing in ticket sales.. Box off sales are very low. It grossed only $20M opening weekend. The movie cost $138M...The studio's had high expectations for this movie and it will take a lot of revenue to have it break even at this point and all projections fail to show that as being possible at this point in time..

That’s kind of the point I was making - bad movie not good for trying to revive 3D.

I agree also 3D is not worth it especially with the higher ticket prices and studio need to acknowledge this.
