Weird. He, his much younger wife, and his dog… all found dead, but no foul play suspected?

How does that work? CO poisoning?

!?!?

How in the world is foul play not suspected?

It has to be something like carbon monoxide poisoning. What else could have taken all three? Sad news no matter what. However, if I had a choice and could go at the same time as my wife I would definitely go for that.

Terrible news. Definitely must be CO… or something along those lines. Tho, you’d think they would have tested for that right away (it wouldn’t be safe to be in the home without knowing?)

Definitely strange…

The plot thickens. No sign of CO. But, maybe there’s a chance it dissipated?

It does seem rather odd. It's getting a lot of news coverage.

He was a great actor. Lived a long time at 95 years of age... that's getting on up there.

One of his best movies was Enemy of The State 1998

Yep... that was no doubt one of his best... a great movie.

He has so many movies that I'm sure I'm forgetting some, but Enemy of the State is probably my favorite of his films.

The French Connection and Unforgiven are great films with Gene. RIP!!

I noticed Kaleidescape just added Runaway Jury.

RIP Mr. Hackman, great actor, It's been awhile since I've seen Enemy of the State, I'll have to revisit that one.

From wikipedia, all his films and tv shows.

@tripplej thank you for the list. I remember watching over and over on cable as a kid Uncommon Valor. Was it a great movie likely not but it was fun. I don't mind seeing it again these days.

For me.. the #1 Hackman film is Crimson Tide.

Love that flick. I've watched it dozens upon dozens of times.

Maybe I shouldn’t share this information, but I think this is a safe space….

Never seen it.

I feel like I need to hop on a plane and get to the Chi-town ASAP!!!!

There's a fantastic scene where Denzel and Hackman have a tense standoff following a mutiny on a nuclear sub. Hackman's character punches Denzel. In reality, tho... as they were filming... Hackman actually punches him! Plays into the scene perfectly.

What a movie. Simply stellar IMO

Whoa!

(should be more, IMO) :T

I read the examiner said he likely had a heart attack from his underlying heart condition, his wife panicked and opened a bottle of meds and likely fell. The one dog inside likely died from dehydration. Also the gas company said there was a small trace of co2 but very faint.
I'm not the smart one here but neither dumb. I don't know but that sounds made up. What are the chances she fell seeing him collapse and why would the dog be dehydrated unless many days passed by without water. Sometimes water bowls are kept indoors.
Anyhow we will see what results from the toxicology tests.
Likely this will be a mystery for life.

Not to mention the other 2 dogs were outside and the door was open.
