have miniDSP mike, trouble with calibration

when I download the calibration files, all I get is text files and I cant figure out how to load them into REW...using macBook Air

They are text files, that is what REW expects. You can point REW to them when it sees the UMIK and asks for a cal file.
 
thank you for your kind response....I guess I am a little lame when it comes to my computer, but when REW asks for the files location, I cant seem to find them.....
 
Yes, I see the file listed in documents, but when I enter the file in the browse line, it says file not found....
 
Click on the file rather than typing the name, if that's what you are doing. The name shown may be incomplete, lacking the file extension, for example.

desktop route didnt work

When you open the file dialog it is looking in your home folder. If the file you want is in the Downloads folder then double click on that folder, "Look in" will change to show "Downloads". Select the file from the displayed list by clicking on it then click Open. To see the files in the current folder in one long list you can click the button at the top right of the file dialog, otherwise scroll across to get to the file if necessary.
