On our latest episode of HDMI TEST BENCH, Pure Fi's affordable Ultra High Speed HDMI 2.1 Active Optical Cable (AOC) finds its way under the microscope.

Using fiber technology, Pure Fi's cable makes big promises for a cable design available in six different lengths ranging from 15ft (4.5m) to 100ft (30.5m). Those promises include accomodation of the entire roster of HDMI 2.1 performance specifications, such as 8K video at 60Hz, 4K at 120Hz, 48gbps, and eARC. To test, Pure Fi provided us with a 25ft version which sells for an affordable asking price of $59.99. Using a variety of tools headlined by Murideo's 8K Fox and Hound Test Kit, we measured and evaluated physical and performance parameters.

Despite impressive results, we declined to give the cable our full stamp of approval. Why? Click on the video review, below, and find out!
