Hi All. Hope someone can help with what may be a simple problem. I have REW running on my old Windows 7 computer now, but the windows - Measure, Preferences and maybe some others come up really tall and don't fit on the screen vertically. There's no way to scroll to the bottom to select important buttons, or way to shrink these windows to get there. I have tried to tab down to where they should be (referencing my other computer) and pressing enter, but this does not work. In the Preferences drop-down menu there are options for different screen sizes but this doesn't help. My sizes are set to standard (100%) via the Windows Control Panel.

Any ideas? Many thanks, Ben

Looks like the screen resolution may be 1024x640? That isn't tall enough for REW, needs to be at least 768 vertically. It isn't practical to make all the dialogs small enough for a 640H screen, sorry. You could try reducing the font size in the View preferences, but I don't think you will gain enough. Tabbing to controls will work, but you may need to use space bar to activate things rather than enter.

Thanks for info SM52 and Mr Mulcahy himself! Sorry for the late reply myself. The maximum vertical resolution on this computer is 600 pixels so it looks like it won't work, but at least I know for definte now. My other computer and soundcard are getting rather unreliable with REW so I wanted a back up, but looks like its new computer time soon!

Hello John,
Im just getting started with REW and Im having the same problem as BenC.
I'm using a Lenovo thinkbook. 13s-1wl.
And it won't display the full preference window when I select it from Rew home page.
and I even hooked up to an external monitor. I still can't get the bottom of the preferences window. And I know there is more content at the bottom of the window. So Ive included a couple images of my display window options. As well as a slide with the arrow showing the bottom of the preferences window. I don't understand why I can't just scroll down like a normal window.
I feel like this has to be a setting that I can adjust. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
KH

According to Lenovo, that display is capable of 1920x1080. The display scaling is probably set to 150% or higher. If you set the scaling to 100% in the display settings you should be okay. However, the screen is only thirteen inches so things may be more difficult to see.

It's quite odd that the window isn't sized to the content. You can try reducing the font size on the View preferences tab, if that is visible.

Hi Sam, I do have it set to 100% in the graphics window.
The issues only on the preferences window or seems to be and there's no option for like maximizing that screen.

On the View preferences try selecting Scale fonts for display DPI and check the High DPI scaling override property is enabled with scaling set to Application. That property can be changed by right-clicking on the REW shortcut, selecting Properties, then the Compatibility tab, then clicking the Change high DPI settings button.
