Leon Speaker’s Horizon Interactive Fit Soundbar Delivers Audio Plus Discrete Storage
(Leon Speakers)(September 22, 2017) Leon Speaker’s patent pending Horizon Interactive Fit soundbar solution delivers big in multiple areas of functionality: sound quality, clean concealment of AV components, and a finished look. Sound slick? It is, and it has CEDIA 2017 “Best of Show” awards from Residential Systems, TWICE, and CE Pro to back up its prowess.
First and foremost, the Horizon Interactive Fit is a soundbar capable of mounting above or below a television screen. It’s available in two widths (43.5”, $2,295; 56”, $2,495) allowing it to accommodate displays up to 96”, and is sold with a custom-made black cloth grille cut to the exact width of your display. Concealed beneath its finished look is a stereo speaker array consisting of two 4” ultra-thin woofers and two 28mm cloth-dome tweeters housed in MDF enclosures. Leon specs these drivers as capable of reaching down to 110Hz (6 ohms), with an overall sensitivity of 88dB. In addition, the Fit offers internal rack space between the two speakers, allowing it to perform its second duty: discretely housing various small AV components.
The 43.5” HIFIT44UX provides owners with 18.5” of component storage, while the larger 56” HIFIT44UX-OS delivers 31” of storage space. That means both models can hold devices such as an Apple TV, a webcam, an Amazon Echo Dot, and Leon’s own OTO-MCA-200 modular amp ($995). This gives owners quite a bit of flexibility to add features such as voice control and video conferencing without the added visibility of unsightly gear and wires.

Both Fit models have relatively small footprints (grilles installed), with a measured height of 7.25” and a depth of 2.88”, keeping the entire package tight and compact.
If you’re looking to avoid powering the soundbar with a large external amp, Leon’s OTO-MCA-200 delivers 100 Watts/channel (8 ohms) in a compact form factor (5” High x 14.25” Wide x 1.75” Deep) made to integrate with the Horizon Interactive Fit. Infra-Red learning allows the unit to be used with an existing TV remote, rounding out user friendly functionality.
