I came across head related transfer functions and how they modify the sound and thought it might be cool to use REW to characterize my own one. The purpose could be a special correction for surround and centre speaker, for stereo I am not too sure.
I am first thinking about a microphone and came across a great offer for this https://de-de.sennheiser.com/in-ear-kopfhoerer-ohrhoerer-3d-ambeo-smart-headset.
Has anybody given HRTF corrections any thoughts and how such a microphone, or another one, could be used, any other ideas (am I missing a thread...?).Any development ideas for REW?

Knowing your individual HRTF can be useful for headphone response corrections, to try and emulate distant sources, but I can't think of any benefit for use with speakers.

The centre speaker suffers from talking to my nose and not my ears. Would that channel not benefit from being Equed? Would I be able to feed an in-ear stereo-mic signal into Rew?
