No audio from REW-generated sweep measurement file

i have generated sweep measurement files using Generator in REW (in all possible combinations of 44.1 and 48 khz, 16 bit, 24 bit, 32 bit,.wav files), and tried many combinations of settings using both ASIO and Java drivers, but none will produce audio when I try to use them for a measurement sweep in REW. They all play fine in Windows Media Player, etc. The built-in measurement sweep works fine in REW, so I assume I have missed a setting somewhere - mdat and screenshots attached - any suggestions gratefully received ;-)

The "From file" option is used when another device will be producing the sweep by playing the file, perhaps because the measurement system cannot be connected to it or it doesn't have audio inputs.
