Hello,

Just connected my laptop to my AV device using HDMI. I am able to successfully play Dolby Digital test formats from the laptop and see the AVR recognizing the Dolby 5.1 multi channel signal and hear the AV system playing through the center channel. However switch to Rew and Rew only plays L and R outputs w/ ASIO driver. The AVR only sees a 2 channel PCM 2.0 output from Rew so no output to center channel or subs.

Appreciate any help!

Go into the ASIO4ALL control panel and make sure every sound device choice is actuallyactivated ( iow: lit "electric blue" ).
These activations must also include all the choices found within the daughter///secondary menu choices ( click the small triangles to see them ) .

Nothing, everything in list is shown as active. When selecting channel outputs other than 1 and 2 from the drop down no sound comes through and the AV still sees only a PCM 2.0 signal.

If you are using a front panel HDMI connection they sometimes don't support multichannel PCM. The processor also needs to be in a mode that accepts multichannel PCM.
