(March 17, 2020) Well, folks, I'm not sure how to kick off this Flash Giveaway. Since we announced the contest for 1917 (which is still active), the economy has turned upside down, suffering has spread around the world, and it seems like the Earth is spinning in the wrong direction. We here at AV NIRVANA hope that all of you are healthy, secure, and safe. It's looking like quite a few of us will be hunkered down for the duration, and what better way weather the storm, than to spin your very own Blu-ray copy of Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker !!!
Oh yeah, my fellow home theater nuts, I said: "Star Wars!" And it gets even better...why give away one copy of this historic flick... when you can give away TWO??? Yup. That's right... your good buddy Michael Scott has pulled some extra strings and this contest officially has slots for TWO winners!!!
Once our official disc review of the film launches, a link will post here. Until then, here are a few things you need to know. First, the disc specs, highlighted by a 2.35:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD MA 7.1 lossless surround sound, are solid. Second, this contest ends on the film's official disc launch day (March 31, 2020). Third, everyone... and I mean everyone... can earn a free extra entry by featuring his or her home theater / media system in our AV SHOWCASE section of the forum. Details, below.
Most of you know the entry rules by heart, but here it goes for those you that are new: If you’re not a member, you’ll need to become one to enter the contest. Membership is 100% free… although you can certainly opt to support our site through various levels of Premium Memberships.
In order to enter the contest, just leave a comment below and you'll gain one entry into the contest. The official – random – drawing will be held on March 31, 2020.
Anyone, including new members and old members, can gain one extra entry by featuring his or her system (home theater or media) on our site's AV SHOWCASE. If you've already have done that, great!
