No sweep output when attempting calibration

There does not appear to be any sweep signal output when I attempt calibration. There are outputs when I take measurements but not calibration.

Thanks for the help on this

Current sweep recordings look pretty jittery/jagged and I am assuming the calibration might clear that up a bit.

Are you clicking the button to move on to the next steps of the process?

No, it shouldn't. Your audio interface will have some roll-off at the lowest and highest frequencies but should otherwise be very flat.

Did not click on next, clicked on check levels and it seemed to start. I will try that, thanks!

That worked. Next thing is how to loop things for calibration. Using the speaker output on the back of my PC, but not sure where that would be plugged into. Maybe the microphone jack right next to it. I am using a USB microphone if that makes a difference.

Soundcard calibration is not performed for USB microphones as there is no way to electrically feed the signal back through the mic and it isn't needed, they have their own cal file.

Got it. Does go for the sound card calibration as well? That being said, I am trying to see if I can "smooth out" the response graphs I am getting in the end.

I switched over to using a Sound Blaster Audigy 5/Rx card for sound outputs and am using miniDSP as well. I can play music from my PC but I cannot seem to generate a sound card test signal again. It looks like the proper output device is selected, but there are two and tried both SPDIF OUT and EXCL: SPDIF OUT. Please let me know what else to look at for this when you get a chance. Thanks again!

I am using the optical output from the Sound Blaster Audigy 5/Rx to the miniDSP right now. If that will not work I can change it.

Just tried setting everything to Speakers (3- miniDSP 2x4n) and I still cannot generate a check levels output.

I was able to get it to work by using the analog output to the miniDSP. I would like to use the optical output if possible though.

You need to make sure the miniDSP input is set correctly, to USB if you are sending data to it directly (the most straightforward method) or to the input you use if not.

Thanks. I have been playing with the PC and miniDSP settings and getting some things to work and others not so much.

I have been able to get the REW working though.

I am still wrestling with how to get the PC to output to multiple places as well. Most things I see online are not working.
miniDSP instructions leave a lot to be desired as well, but I am pretty much just forcing my way through it all. Learning a bunch at the same time.
