NOOB Question about Using REW

Sorted through the info at MiniDSP relevant to the UMIK-1 mic I purchased and other "beginner" documents...

Is REW using this mic even possible/relevant for a dekstop system using a DAC, AMP and 2.1 speakers?

I keep running across the use of HDMI and how resulting outputs are used in AV systems, etc.

Is there a guide or tutorial geared towards the non-engineer novice like me?

yes it will work fine with your setup as long as you have a USB port and some way to alter whatever it is you want to do (like EQ) via EqualiserAPO or similar.

You can use technically any kind of output you like. 3.5 out of the PC, USB DAC, Optical, audio interface.... whatever you have should work
