I've never heard of any of them. What does that say about me, hahahahaha!

We saw The Substance, Inside Out 2 and The Wild Robot. My wife saw Wicked at the theater. I bought Wicked on 4k to watch soon at home.

I also haven't seen most if not all of the current movies. I still am catching up on older movies that I have not seen!

Right?!? How can someone be in this hobby of movies, home theater, etc. and NOT have even heard of the best picture award winner?

Then again, maybe I'm just not very worldly. I like what I like and I stick to it.

This might sound weird... but

I have never watched the Academy Awards. I did see clips of the B-slap heard around the world... but I've never watched the show.

It isn't what it used to be that is for sure..

I'm not a fan of awards shows in general, but I do like to try and watch as many of the Best Picture nominees as I can and other buzzworthwy titles.

I'd seen Nosferatu, The Brutalist, Anora, Conclave, Better Man, Gladiator 2, Alien: Romulus, Inside Out 2, September 5, The Apprentice, and Dune 2, possibly others, this just off the top of my head. I was really pulling for The Brutalist. I enjoyed Anora but it's not a Best Picture.

We have been trying to watch A Complete Unknown and The Wild Robot.

I find it incredibly fascinating that "No Other Land" won the Best Documentary Feature category but no US distributor has the guts to pick it up. Theaters trying to show it are being protested. Palestinian art is winning awards and still being censored.

I don't watch awards shows either... never have cared for them. I suspect it's all political and has nothing to do with what's really the best. But then again, what do I know about Hollywood? It's all an act. :whistling:
