Hi, i’m running a m1 laptop with osx 11.6 big sur, rew latest version, minidsp umik 1 and a lynx hilo multichannel usb interface. I can choose hilo as output but not the hilo channels so i can’t output any test tones. I’ve try multiboutput device, aggregate device, can’t use hdmi device. Any tips?
my dutch & dutch are ready to be corrected. Many thanx
Frank

If you are using the D&D 8c you don't need an output selection, the speakers can generate the test sweeps themselves. Set the default equaliser in the Equaliser preferences to the 8c and use the 8c option that is then shown on the Measure dialog.

Re selecting outputs with the hilo, can you post an image of the REW soundcard preferences? Is the sample rate for the hilo in Audio Midi Setup the same as the sample rate in REW?

Please attach a compressed copy of the log files folder, which is ~/Library/Logs/REW

Not the system logs folder, your user logs folder (hence the ~ in the path). The user library folder no longer appears in Finder by default. To display it either browse to ~/Library/Logs or open your Home folder in Finder (Shift Command + H), select View > Show View Options then select the checkbox to show the library folder.

The lack of outputs is caused by having parts of the old Mandolane M3D Mixer on your system, which has not been supported in macOS for many years. To remove it go to the system /Library/Java/Extensions folder and remove any libMando*** files. I'll see if I can ignore that automatically in future builds.

The search for 8c speakers is encountering an error when it tries eth4, which is making it drop out of the loop that tries each interface. I'll see if I can get it to ignore that in the next build, in the meantime I'm not sure what eth4 is on your system but perhaps it could be temporarily disabled to see if that is a workaround. I'll put out a new build this weekend in any case.
