question regarding Room EQ

Good morning all
I am a newbie to this type of equipment and have quick question about how to use so any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
My laptop is connected to a DAC which in turn is connected to my Denon AVR.
For measurement purposes is it better to connect the laptop direct to my AVR or can I continue connecting thru my DAC?

I don’t see how a DAC could be an issue. As long as you get REW’s test signals coming out through your speakers, you’re good to go.
