I read somewhere (a few years ago) that you could run a sweep in REW and it would list all the suggested PEQs and crossover and import them into MiniDSP or copy them into other crossovers. I followed the procedure awhile back that they listed, but no PEQs appeared, (and of course now I am attempting to retune my speakers with new drivers).

Is that feature still available? If it is a feature...is there somewhere I can find out how to try this again (and with the latest REW)? I am using a Xilica XP4080 crossover.

EQ window

REW can calculate parametric EQ settings to bring a response onto a target, provided the target is not set wholly above or below the response. If a miniDSP equaliser is selected the settings can be exported in a coefficients file in the miniDSP format. There is a miniDSP application note about it.

Is there a way to see the presets if you do not have a minidsp?

I'm not sure I really understand the question. The process is the same whatever equaliser you select. miniDSP equalisers offer a way to import settings using a coefficients file, but all the filter settings are shown in the REW filters window whatever equaliser is selected.

I do not see the recommended PEQs...when I have mine set for the Xilica.

Have you read the help? Or the application note? What measurement are you using, what target are you using, what target level, what match range? You aren't providing any clues about what you have tried or what you are seeing, so I don't see how to help.

I will try again this weekend, and read everything one more time.

When you click on the "EQ" button at the top of the main REW window, you get the EQ filter generator.

At the top of -that- window, click on the "EQ Filters" button, and you will see a pop-up window showing the 20 possible filters (or less, depending on which of the 30ish possible hardware EQ boxes you chose in the Equalizer section as the first drop-down on the right of the EQ window).

Those are the filters that your equalizer (or EQ software such as eqAPO) will use.

On the bottom section of the Filter Tasks dropdown, you can export using the "Save filter..." and "Export filter..." clickable links.

I need to make a 550hz crossover with first order filters, but I do not know what that is or how....
Is it a PEQ with 550 as the frequency and a certain db cut and a certain Q? Can someone give a setting to punch in for it? Once I make that I think I can proceed.

PEQ filters are 2nd order and not suitable for any kind of crossover. REW has LP1 and HP1 filters types which are first order low pass and high pass filters respectively.
